Iā€™m a software engineer specializing in building (and occasionally designing) exceptional digital experiences. Currently, Iā€™m focused on building accessible, human-centered products at Signapse.

01. About Me

Hi there, my name is Dan and I enjoy creating impactful digital experiences. I have always been fascinated by gadgets, but my interest in web development started back in 2015 when I got a ā€˜coding-dictionaryā€™ that shows you how to make websites! Which in hindsight, was a textbook on HTML & CSS.


Asides my passion for computers, I have even been more passionate about making easier the lives of persons around me. This passion led me to explore other areas like Nursing. Very quickly, I found out that I am much comfortable in the sweet spot where technology solves a userā€™s needs.


Fast-forward to today, Iā€™ve completed a Masters in Comp Science from Coventry Uni, and Iā€™ve had the privilege of working for a start-up, and a scale up organisation.

    Frontend Engineer @ Signapse

    Dec 2022 - Mar 2024

    1. Imlemented a web-based video translation plugin (translate from text to British/American Sign Language), using JavaScript, and AI for text-to-video translation in 21weeks.

    2. Developed a real time flight announcement portal, with REACT JS that uses multiple data endpoints to display flight announcements on screens in an airport, showcasing flight details & announcements realtime.

    3. Applied Test Driven Development with frameworks like, JEST and Cypress, prioritizing application security, accessibility and best practice.

    4. Collaborated in Design planning, code reviews, user stories planning on JIRA while prioritizing efficiency and maintainability across codebase.
